Welcome To Sanderson High School

This website is designed to introduce you to the work of Sanderson High School and to provide you with some preliminary information about our vision, values and aims.

Sanderson High was opened in 1994 and at present we have 15 classes. The school has state-of-the-art accommodation and facilities include a large gymnasium, shared dining room, Music, Home Economics, Technical, Science, Art, general classrooms and a purpose-built Complex Learning Department, as well as provision for Health Service personnel.

Parents are most welcome to visit the school at any time to find out about the curriculum and our daily routine.

We are committed to ‘Closing the Gap’ that exists in Scottish Education by improving Literacy, Numeracy, Health and Wellbeing and by Developing Our Young Workforce as is the National Priorities. Our School Improvement Plan is available on this website for all. We are currently cited on Education Scotland’s National Improvement Hub as having best practice in DYW, Curricular Design and Wider Achievement. This is an excellent achievement for an ASN School.
